Dermal Fillers
A Dermal Filler is a stabilised hyaluronic acid that is injected into the skin for the purposes of softening fine / deep lines, replace lost facial volume or definition. The key to success and safety with fillers is expert assessment of the face and in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy, as well as injector skill.
Areas treated with hyaluronic acid dermal fillers include, lips, temples, forehead, tear trough (under eyes) , cheeks (mid-face), nose, laughter lines (naso-labials), jawline / chin contouring, neck lines as well as hands.
Dr. Martin is an expert at the pain free lip filler technique utilising dental block anaesthesia to ensure total comfort throughout the procedure.
Safety is paramount at DermaDoc and to further safety with dermal fillers we use cannula (blunt needle) for the majority of our dermal filler treatments to minimise risk of complications.
Ultrasound may also be utilised as another safety measure to ensure safe delivery of dermal filler into the tissues of the face. We can vascular map blood vessels to minimise any adverse events and reduce the risk of bruising and swelling.
We use premium high grade hyaluronic acid fillers from the Aliaxin range from IBSA Derma.
